Leucochloridium paradoxum

Non-living Environment-noun, inanimate parts of habitat

Ex. Sun, Air, & Rock

The more sunlight the sporocysts are exposed to, the faster they pulse.

Not many abiotic factors affect the Green Banded Broodsac, but one that does is sunlight. There is a direct relationship between the rapidity of the pulses of the sporocysts and the amount of sunlight it is currently being exposed to. This is all the better for bird attraction. Natural cycles do not affect this relationship either because the bird hosts do not migrate, and there is an abundance of Amber snails. Birds do have to eat lots of snails since snails have so little energy to contribute to the bird, and this is better for the reproduction of the parasite. Each of the sporocysts can produce immense amounts of adult parasites that emit thousands of eggs until the parasite dies inside the bird. These examples prove that the Green Banded Broodsac has few things that affect it and its hosts.
